Sybil Seoka

Sybil Seoka is a pharmacist with a PhD in Pharmacy Administration from the University of Illinois – Chicago, USA. She has experience in hospital pharmacy and academia as well as over 40 years in the pharmaceutical and medical device industry, twenty of these being in stoma and wound care.

She has served as Deputy Registrar of the Medicines Control Council (MCC) and was involved in establishing the South African Health Products Regulatory Authority (SAHPRA), which replaced the former as the regulator. She has also served as the Pharmaceutical Society of South Africa (PSSA) president.

She is an Honorary Life Member of the PSSA and the South African Pharmaceutical Students Federation and a Fellow of the Institute of Directors South Africa (IoDSA). She serves on several boards, including being the current chairman of the Professional Provident Society Holdings Trust (PPS) board.

She is currently the Managing Director of the family-owned medical device company distributing stoma and advanced wound care products.
