Buhle Mbongo is a qualified pharmacist with experience in different sectors of pharmacy and a Public Health Master’s student. She has work experience in Hospital Pharmacy, Retail Pharmacy, Distribution and Warehousing, Quality Assurance and Supply Chain Management of Pharmaceuticals.

She currently holds a role at the National Department of Health as a Sourcing Specialist whose work is to ensure availability of non-contracted pharmaceuticals and the management of the unregistered pharmaceuticals within the public sector in South Africa. Buhle is experienced in working with different stakeholders both in private and public sector, health organizations, as well as Health Regulatory Authorities.
