Hlonelikaya Masiza is currently the Senior Manager: Professional Affairs (Education) at the South African Pharmacy Council. Ms Masiza holds a BPharm from Rhodes University, MSc (Clinical Pharmacy) from MEDUNSA, completed a Programme for Management Development from the Gordon Institute of Business Science and is currently studying towards a PhD at North-West University. Her current responsibilities include being responsible for ensuring the total quality management of all activities relating to the planning, organising, coordinating and providing guidance in establishing, developing and maintaining universally acceptable standards in pharmacy education, as well as consultation and communication with the pharmacy profession and other stakeholders regarding pharmacy education and training. She is responsible for the coordination and execution of approved pharmacy education and training projects, with the ultimate goal of improving and developing standards of pharmacy education and training in South Africa. She is also responsible for the activities of the Education Committee of the SAPC and its related task teams.
