Lehlogonolo Kekana is a qualified pharmacist with vast experience in different spheres of pharmacy. His experience includes hospital and community pharmacy. He has worked in different sections of the National Department of Health, starting in the Essential Drugs Program (Rational Drug Use) and then to Pharmaceutical Tenders. Currently, he is in the Licensing Unit, mainly responsible for Pharmacy Licensing, the licensing of authorised prescribers to dispense medicines and administer Yellow Fever vaccines, and the issuing of Section 22A(15) permits.
Working with applicants and regulatory authorities such as the SAHPRA and SAPC is fundamental to delivering on the mandate of the Department of Health to improve access to pharmaceutical services.
