Ziyanda Mfuku joined the South African Pharmacy Council in March 2012, in August 2015 she left to join the Eastern Cape Department of Health, returning to the SAPC as Manager: Practice, and returned in February 2017. She has been responsible for the monitoring and compliance of pharmacies in line with the Rules relating to good pharmacy practice (GPP), the management of the process and activities involved in the pre-registration year for pharmacists, the management of registrations of persons, course providers and pharmacies, and the amendments to and maintenance of the registers of persons and organisations.
On 1 March 2019, Ziyanda was promoted to Senior Manager: CPD & Registrations. She has been the Senior Manager of Pharmacy Practice since 1 April 2021. Ziyanda holds a BPharm from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and an MBA from UNISA School of Business Leadership and is currently a PhD candidate at North-West University.
