Kim has a passion for redefining health care services. With expertise in addressing Antimicrobial Resistance and implementing Quality Assurance systems and public health strategies, she has worked in public, private and mining healthcare sectors in South Africa as well as in the NGO world.
Through her consulting work in Africa, Kim also assisted other African countries to implement AMR strategies after understanding their unique situations and barriers to accessing Antibiotics. She is currently the Project Lead for SECURE, an initiative in conjunction with the World Health Organisation and the Global Antibiotic R&D Partnership. Within SECURE she hopes to tackle the more complex issue of improving access to antibiotics especially for LMICS. Her medical degree (MBBCh) is from the University of Witwatersrand and she has a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Cape Town, South Africa.
