Dipti Desai

B. Pharm (UDW), PCDT (NWU), Dip BM (EE)

Dipti Desai graduated with a B. Pharm degree (UDW) and followed this with a diploma in Business Management. After a short stint of doing locums at various pharmacies in Durban, Dipti lectured at UDW in Pharmacy Practice for six months. She then spent many years managing Medi-Quick Pharmacy in Durban.  Here she gained valuable experience running a busy, community-based, late-night depot. In 2003, challenging the status quo in retail pharmacy, Dipti opened the first drive-thru pharmacy in La Lucia, Durban. The success of this venture was the steppingstone to opening Mount Edgecombe Pharmacy where she is also the RP and a tutor to many students The pharmacy has two clinics and is a destination for the community at large.  Dipti completed her PCDT (NWU) in Nov 2022.  She is currently the Chairperson of ICPA (KZN)and Deputy Chairperson of the SAACP (KZN Coastal Branch).
