Ntombizodwa Luwaca

Ntombizodwa is an exemplary leader within the pharmaceutical community and currently serves as the first two-term Chair of the Young Pharmacists’ Group of the Pharmaceutical Society of South Africa since July 2023. She has held roles such as Public Relations Officer for the PSSA’s Young Pharmacists’ Group, Editor for the South African Pharmaceutical Students’ Federation (SAPSF), the media coordinator and graphic designer of the International Pharmaceutical Federation’s Early Career Pharmaceutical Group (FIP ECPG), and the chairperson of the Wits Pharmacy Students’ Council.

Her experience is complemented by a robust academic background from the University of the Witwatersrand, where she not only earned her BPharm degree but also consistently appeared on the Dean’s Merit List for her academic excellence. She has been recognized with awards like the Monty Rubenstein Memorial Prize for the Promotion of Pharmacy and is a member of the Golden Key International Society, which acknowledges the top 15% of achievers at the university level.

Beyond pharmacy, she is also a certified Voice Over Artist, and has a certificate in public relations further demonstrating her diverse skill set and passion for making a difference.

Ntombizodwa has proven herself as a committed professional, passionate about advancing pharmaceutical care, patient outcomes, and innovation in our field. She is a firm believer in leveraging technology and different communication methods for professional. Her journey is a testament to her dedication to continuous learning, leadership, and mentorship within the pharmaceutical community.
