Renier Coetzee is an Associate Professor at the School of Public Health at the University of the Western Cape, where he leads initiatives at the intersection of pharmacy, public health, and health systems strengthening. With a background in clinical pharmacy and a strong commitment to community health, he has contributed extensively to research and teaching in rational medicine use and pharmaceutical policy.
He currently serves as the President of the Pharmaceutical Society of South Africa (PSSA), where he advocates for professional development and policy reform in the pharmacy sector. Renier is passionate about integrating pharmacy practice with public health priorities, including antimicrobial resistance and access to essential medicines.
